Job Description

As a key contributor to the success of the business, the mission of the Director of Sales, North America is to sell the product, in its full value in healthcare market segments. The Director of Sales North America will drive revenue and customer acquisition through innovative positioning and selling, using an effective growth strategy and winning contracting and pricing models. This is a non-executive position reporting to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals jointly agreed to by the CEO
  • Build zPredicta’s customer base in key North American markets, specifically healthcare, with potential to take on added responsibility as the company scales and adds new products
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key customer decision makers and gatekeepers

Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent the company effectively to customers
  • Identify opportunities, develop prospects, acquire customers and grow revenue in the territory.
  • With Management, refine zPredicta’s pricing model within the channel
  • Monitor and measure sales results against the overall company plan, within budget and under careful cost/value criteria
  • Manage all customer information within designated CRM application
  • Provide input to company marketing and PR programs
  • Participate in setting annual operating budget for the company
  • Draft and execute sales agreements

Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in Sales or Business Development, preferably in high growth companies in the healthcare market. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of education in life science and/or business disciplines, and will have the following characteristics:

  • Deep understanding of pharma purchasing and decision-making processes
  • Developed current database in pharma
  • Clear and proven track record of implementing new technologies/products and innovative pricing/business models
  • Experience developing new sales channels
  • Track record of successful management roles in a start-up/smaller scale but rapidly growing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication applicable to all healthcare stakeholders
  • Experience reviewing and drafting purchase and service agreements

Job Description

Founded with the mission to enable successful treatments for every patient, zPREDICTA has developed next generation 3D cell culture technology to recreate the organ-specific microenvironment that mimics the biology of human disease.

You will join a dynamic and agile team of scientists developing next-generation 3D patient-derived cell models for cancer and immunology. You will be responsible for expanding the product pipeline of organ-specific systems. You will be involved in the process from start to finish – from conceptual design of the new tissue environment to validation on primary human cells from tumor and healthy tissues to productization of the new model. You have to be excited by the fast-paced environment of a start-up and possess a versatile set of technical skills.

Education

The successful candidate will have a minimum of B.S./B.A. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline with at least 3 years of experience in industry or academia or M.S./M.A. with at least 1 year of industry experience. Start-up experience is strongly preferred.
