Mendelian genetics was Niyati’s first initiation into the world of biology. Inspired by Mendel’s famous pea experiments, Niyati worked on tissue culture of medicinal plants to improve yield and purity of extracts, as an undergraduate student in India. Since then, she has moved on to studying the intricacies of human biology. Niyati graduated in 2015 with a PhD in Genetic, Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Southern California. Her research focused on identifying novel therapies for highly malignant brain tumors specifically therapies targeting the resistant cancer stem cell population. As a Scientist, she has been an integral member of our team since the early stages and supports our research and development endeavors.
