Reconstructed Organ Products
We develop organ-specific products based on our reconstruct organ technology where the microenvironment of each tissue is reconstructed ex vivo. Each reconstructed environment is available in 2 formats: a 3D Bioassay (comprehensive system with extracellular matrix, medium additives, and buffers) and a Basic Matrix Pack (extracellular matrix-only).
Reconstructed Bone Marrow (rBone™)
rBone™ system recapitulates the comprehensive 3D microenvironment of the human bone marrow (both cellular, hematopoietic and stromal, and extracellular, soluble factors and extracellular matrix (ECM), compartments). rBone™ recapitulates the ECM composition of both the bone marrow and endosteum (connective tissue at the interface between the bone and the bone marrow). In rBone™, the hematopoietic and stromal (osteoblasts, osteoclasts, adipocytes, and stromal cells) compartments undergo robust expansion while retaining the composition and 3D architecture of in vivo tissue. rBone™ maintains primary bone marrow cells for at least 21 days without loss of viability, and as such provides a unique platform to predict long-term effects and efficacy of new therapeutics under physiological and pathological conditions of human tissue microenvironment.
rBone™ matrix maintains architecture of in vivo bone marrow as demonstrated by cryo-scanning electron microscopy.
