Ying Qu, PhDCTO

Ying is a cancer biologist with extensive experience in breast, colon, and gastric cancers. She has made invaluable contributions to our understanding of fundamental mechanisms underlying breast cancer development and metastasis, as well as normal mammary cell differentiation. Her most recent contribution to science is to develop patient-derived organoid models from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and tissue samples. These models, allow multiple cell types to grow in 3D matrix replicating the correct breast tissue architecture, are the key to understanding the effects of environmental and genomic factors on the risk breast cancer development and progression. Before joining zPredicta, Ying was a faculty scientist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
